The Rockies have now won 9 in a row after defeating the Mariners 6-4 on Friday night. Ubaldo Jimenez pitched his 2nd career complete game to improve his record to 5-6 on the year. Jarrod Washburn took the loss for the Mariners dropping his record to 3-5 on the season.

Troy Tulowitzki went deep for his 8th homerun of the season to help extend the winning streak. Todd Helton drove in a run, and Jimenez helped out his cause by contributing an RBI in the 6th. Fowler dropped down a sac bunt to score Stewart and Tulowitzki later scored on a wild pitch in the 7th to contribute to the rally. The Rockies rallied from an early 3 run deficit to get the win.

Russel Branyan went yard for his 15th blast of the season for the Mariners to give them an early lead in the 1st. Adrian Beltre scored 2 as he had a double to right to extend the lead to 3-0. Rob Johnson added an RBI double and that would be the extent of Seattle's scoring.

The win put the Rockies in 3rd place in the NL West and moved them within 3.5 games of St. Louis for the wild card. Colorado will go for 10 straight when the two teams meet tonight and for the first time since that historic 11 game run back in 2007 to reach the playoffs and made their first World Series.
